This past week was computer science week and all week during our class we had other classes and teacher come down and have us show them some of the things that we do in help desk. The first classes that came down it was a little less organized but once the first day was over things went a lot smother. Some of the things that I showed people was mainly the drones but also showed them some of the VR stuff that we were playing around with. I showed a few groups of people how to use the block coding in tinker to fly the drones and the kids were very interested in it and had a great time getting to fly them around. They got really good at being able to code in flights without having the drone crash which i was surprised about because i thought it would be more of them crashing into everything. Also i go to try some of the VR games that Microsoft was demonstrating and they were very fun and exiting. It was cool how they VR looked and how real it felt along with having a fun game to play.

In this blog post I would like to talk about some of the things that we have been doing inside of this Application called unity. Mr. Wong showed us this website that allowed us to build our own games and things like that. The app would show us tutorials on how to design the games in ways that would work to make a functional game. It was difficult for me at first because I have not taken a computer class since freshman year and I was a little rusty at first, but as I started to use it more I got more and more comfortable using it. I know that some of the other people that are in our class that are more advanced like unity a lot and found it very easy and useful for some of the things that they were trying to do. Overall i would say that unity and very helpful and works very well with designing and programming video games.
For my first blog post i would like to talk about the integration of technology into schools. Our school has been very open about trying to be progressively tech savvy to make it an easier place for students to learn. Technology at our school has helped students keep in touch with teachers at anytime to ask questions about assignment or set up meetings with our own personal device and own school email address. Also they have gotten lots of extra chromebooks that students can check out at out library so they can use them if they have a paper to write or something else under those lines. These are some of the things that our school has done to help integrate technology into the school.
